A winner of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences shares his thoughts on Aid Evaluation
Sir James A. Mirrlees, winner of the 1996 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, has been Master of the Morningside College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) since August 2009.
This pioneer of the theory of optimal income taxation lectured in Economic Sciences at Oxford University from 1968 to 1995, then at Cambridge from 1995 to 2003. His positions often go against prevailing ideas: he particularly thinks that the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), all of which are likely not to be achieved by 2015, lack ambition.
